



A unique adventure to the heart of AFrica
The Ssenga trail takes you on a 12-day tour in Uganda, the green pearl of Africa. A combination of plains, tropical forests , crater lakes and volcanoes provides a diversity of wildlife unlike that seen anywhere else in the world.
The trip starts and ends in the beautiful city of Kampala, laid out across seven green hills, several of which descend directly to Lake Victoria.


Travel southward along the shores of Lake Albert, and proceed via Fort Portal to Queen Elisabeth National park.
Queen Elisabeth National Park is situated in the western part of the Rift Valley, at the base of the Rwenzori mountains and covers 1978 sq km. Its Landscape of crater-dotted hills and open grassland offers a home to an abundance of wildlife including buffalo, elephants, lion, leopard, and the unique Ugandan kob. With more than 560 bird species, the park is a true paradise for bird watchers. The forest walk at Chambura Gorge gives you the opportunity to see primates including Chimps, Black and White Colobus Monkeys, Blue, Black faced Red Colobus, Red tailed monkeys and Olive Baboons.
After a visit to the tree climbing lions in Isasha , the journey will take you through the mountainous Kigezi Highlands to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in southwestern Uganda This ancient rainforest is home to nearly half of the world’s population of the endangered mountain gorillas and forest elephants.
